The Department of MCA, in association with TechnoCrats, organized a Technical Talk on the topic “From Idea to Publication: Writing Effective Research Paper for Post Graduate Students” on Saturday, 11th October 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Prerana Hall, Academic Block – III.
The session was exclusively organized for III Semester MCA students, and Dr. Shreeranga Bhat, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SJEC Mangaluru, served as the resource person for the session.
The talk provided valuable insights into the complete research process, guiding students from the stage of idea generation to the preparation of a well-structured and publishable research paper. It emphasized the significance of identifying research gaps, defining clear objectives, and performing comprehensive literature reviews.
Dr. Bhat also discussed the essential components of effective academic writing, including content organization, academic integrity, proper referencing, and compliance with journal guidelines. Additionally, the session highlighted practical strategies for improving clarity, coherence, and originality in research manuscripts.
Overall, the event enriched students’ understanding of the research and publication process, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to communicate their findings effectively and pursue publications in reputed journals.
