Implementation of AI Tools in Education and Research

The Department of Mathematics, St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, organized a One Day Workshop on "Implementation of AI Tools in Education and Research" on 3rd September 2025 at the MATLAB Laboratory

Participants were introduced to innovative platforms such Perplexity AI for syllabus design, Auto Classmate for lesson planning, Quizgecko AI for module-wise assessment generation, Gamma AI for creating presentations, InVideo AI for developing videos, and Edcafe AI for preparing course materials.

In addition, the workshop explored AI tools for research enhancement such as Consensus for literature review, Connected Papers and Research Rabbit for bibliography analysis, NotebookLM for exploring relationships between research papers, Napkin AI for infographics, Jenni AI for content linking, Avidnote for PDF analysis, and Scispace for literature surveys.

The sessions provided hands-on exposure, enabling participants to understand the practical applications of these tools in curriculum development, content creation, evaluation, and scholarly research. The resource person demonstrated how AI-driven platforms can significantly enhance efficiency, creativity, and accuracy in academic activities.
