TORQUE - Mechanical Engineering Students' Association in association with Student Welfare and Alumni Group (SWAG) conducted a technical talk and alumni interaction for the IV Sem Mechanical Engineering students on 20 February 2020 at 11:00 am in Bishop Aloysius Paul Hall, AB-IV. The guest speaker and the alumnus of 2013 batch, Mr Aston D'Souza, Product Development Engineer, Ford - US delivered a talk on "A Jouey into the Real World". During presentation, speaker mentioned about the design evolution, mode manufacturing, automation and the future. Mr Aston D'Souza gave a glimpse of the projects where he used microcontroller like Arduino Uno to perform simple task when he was studying in 2nd year engineering. Speaker also briefed about the simple automation projects taken up at his research lab like tiny weather forecast for his aunt and manufacturing of components for tiny weather forecast by additive manufacturing at his lab. As our proud alumni, Mr Aston D'Souza interacted with the students and shared sweet memories of his student life at SJEC during 2009-2013. He requested the students to attend the classes regularly and have the strong foundation in subjects. Mr Vinoothan Kaliveer, Coordinator, TORQUE 2020 thanked the speaker and team and asked Mr Nitheesh D Nayak, Assistant Professor, Dept of ME to present a memento as a gesture of gratitude.
