The student association of department of Physics ‘Epsilon’ organized a talk on ‘Recent Indian Space Science Missions’ by Dr. Sreejith Padinhatteeri, Assistant Professor in Physics, Manipal center for natural sciences, MAHE who has worked as Project Scientist, Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope on Aditya -L1 Project on 24 May 2024 from 3pm to 4:30pm in Prerana Hall.

The programme began with a prayer. Dr Rajesh Kumar P C HOD Physics welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Dr. Sreejith Padinhatteeri explained in detail about space and research on space science. He further briefed about recent Indian space science missions such as Aditya L1, Chandrayaan 3 and XPoSat. He gave more insights into the Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope on Aditya -L1 Project. After the talk certificates were distributed for the winners of Poster making competition on Chandrayan-3 and short animated film on Lunar Journey of new India by the guest.  Ms Sweedal Pinto compered the event. Dr Rajesh K coordinated the program. Around 150 students and 10 faculty members were present for the talk. The program was well appreciated by the students and faculty members
