EELS – the Students Association of Electrical and Electronics Department conducted a Beyond Syllabus activity for the subject Op-Amp and Linear ICs (LIC) engineering for 4th Semester Students. This activity was a guest lecture on the topic Phase Locked Loop delivered Dr N Laxminidhi, HOD - Dept of E&C, NITK Surathkal on 3rd May 2018 in E&E Lecture Hall 1101. The lecture was delivered from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm followed by a discussion session with students from 4.30 pm to 5.00 pm. The lecture aimed at providing recent knowledge on Phase Locked Loop (PLL). It constituted the following content: Fundamental concept of frequency follower, performance parameters of PLL and Application of PLL like frequency synthesizer, frequency multiplication etc. The lecture was highly interactive chalk and talk session, which was appreciated by students and faculty members. The lecture session ended with 30-minute discussion session where-in students clarified some of their doubts conceing the subject LIC.
