EELS association organized a technical seminar on ‘Personal Investments’ as the fourth event in the Techathlon annual event series. This event was organized for the final year EEE students in Fr Fred Memorial Hall on 16th February, 2018 from 9:15 AM to 12:00PM. The resource persons for the event included financial consultants Mr. Anil Pinto, Mr. Yonile D’Souza, & Ms.Swapna Shenoy, hailing from Mangalore.
The seminar highlighted the need for suitable financial planning along with career planning. The main topics of discussion included details on bank deposits, emergency funds, mutual funds and retirement plans. The students were made to understand the difference between insurance and investments. The student participants and faculty coordinators appreciated the knowledge imparted by the resource persons during this seminar. The staff coordinators included Dr Sheryl Colaco and Mr. Deepesh SK.
