A technical talk on "Power Electronics Circuit Design and Analysis” was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics under EELs Association in collaboration with ISTE for the 3 rd year students. Mr Sandesh Nayak, Embedded Design Engineer, Brevera Technologies, Mangalore was the resource person. The objective of the session was to impart knowledge on design of power electronics circuits. A brief introduction was given on different types of power and power factor correction. Design of power factor controlled flyback topology SMPS design was explained and analyzed with various waveforms. The outcome of the session has enabled the 3rd year E&E students to gain an in-depth knowledge on SMPS design and provided a great opportunity for people interested in power electronics to analyze the circuit designs. A total of 25 students participated in the session.
