Alvida 2025 - Farewell Program

A farewell program Alvida 2025 for the final-year UG students was held on Friday, November 28th, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Kalam Auditorium. The event started with the invocation and was followed by the presentation of the farewell video, which beautifully showcased the student’s cherished memories and experiences at SJEC.

The Principal of SJEC, Dr. Rio D’Souza, delivered the Welcome Address. He greeted the gathering, acknowledged the efforts of the outgoing batch, and highlighted their contributions to the institution throughout their academic journey.

Following the welcome address, Dr. Ravikanth Prabhu, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, raised the toast in honor of the Class of 2025–26. In his toast, he recognized the student achievements, dedication, and growth, and encouraged them to carry forward the values of SJEC as they step into the next phase of their lives. 

On behalf of the final-year students, Ms. Apoorva Shetty from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering responded to the toast. She expressed her gratitude towards the faculty, staff, and peers, and reminisced about the experiences and memories that shaped her journey at SJEC. Following this, Mr. Glen Elric Fernandes from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) also replied to the toast, sharing his reflections on the academic and personal growth he experienced at the institution and conveying appreciation for the support and opportunities provided.

The Director, Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, delivered the Presidential Address, offering words of inspiration and wishing the students success in their future endeavors. He also extended his blessings to the outgoing students. 

A special moment of blessing was further offered for the graduating batch by Asst. Director, Rev. Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta, who invoked his blessings upon the Class of 2025–26, offering guidance and encouragement as the students prepared to enter a new chapter in their lives.

To conclude the ceremony, Ms. Gayana M. N , Convenor of Alvida 2025, delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed gratitude to the management, faculty members, staff, student coordinators, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the farewell program.

The event concluded with the singing of the College Anthem, marking a dignified and heartfelt end to the celebration for the graduating Class of 2025–26.
