The Office of Collaborations, in association with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) GATE Office, Bengaluru, organized an Awareness Program on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) on 10 August 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Prerana Hall, Academic
Block III. The program was organized for final-year B.E. students with the objective of creating awareness about the GATE examination and its importance in higher education and career development.
The session was conducted by Mr. Alankrit Gupta and Mr. Aniket Rajendra Navale, GATE 2027 Ambassadors from the GATE-JAM Office, IISc Zone, Bengaluru. The resource persons provided students with an overview of the GATE examination, its significance, and the various opportunities available through a good GATE score. They explained how GATE can serve as an important pathway for students aspiring to pursue higher studies and build successful careers. During the session, the resource persons highlighted the role of GATE scores in securing admission to Master’s and Ph.D. programs at leading institutions across India. They also discussed the opportunities available for recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The students were given useful insights into the relevance of GATE and were encouraged to consider the examination as an option for their future academic and professional growth.
The program was informative and beneficial for the students. It helped them gain a better understanding of the importance of GATE and motivated them to explore the examination as a pathway towards higher education and career opportunities. Overall, the awareness program successfully provided valuable guidance and encouraged students to make informed decisions about their future.
