Hostel Fiesta 2025

St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor has celebrated the Hostel- Fresher's Day & Send-off Program, “Hostel Fiesta 2025” at SJEC campus on 16 November 2025, 5.30pm from the Backet ball court. 

The event was a vibrant and memorable evening that brought together seniors, freshers, faculty, and administrators for a night filled with warmth, gratitude, and entertainment. Ms Madhavi Gatty was the convenor of the program and Mr Ruben and Ms Frenny were the student coordinators.

 The program began with a welcome, prayer, and a formal welcome address, followed by energetic cultural performances by the first-year students. The Principal, Dr. Rio D’Souza, delivered an inspiring message, after which Ms. Frenny raised a heartfelt toast that was beautifully acknowledged by senior student representatives Sabin and Shebha. 

Adding a touch of nostalgia, the fourth-year students presented a cultural programme reflecting their journey and cherished memories at the hostel. As part of honouring excellence, students were awarded under three distinguished categories—Outstanding Achievers in Academics, Outstanding Achievers in Sports, and the Hostel Leadership Award—with separate recognitions presented to boys and girls from each branch. The Director, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, delivered an encouraging message, appreciating the achievements and contributions of the hostel students. One of the most emotional segments of the evening was the presentation of the farewell video, capturing memorable moments and the spirit of hostel life.

The second- and third-year students further enlivened the programme with their energetic cultural performances. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by dinner and a lively DJ session, providing an opportunity for all attendees to relax, celebrate, and create lasting memories. The programme successfully brought together freshers, seniors, faculty, and management in a joyful and memorable celebration of unity, gratitude, and camaraderie.
