The Office of Collaborations, SJEC, Mangaluru successfully organized a Masterclass and Mock Test on IELTS on 8th May 2025, led by Ms Soumi Dhar Sarma, a renowned IELTS trainer with over 14 years of experience. Specializing in IELTS preparation, language enhancement, and soft skills training, Ms Soumi has worked with top organizations like Cognizant, IIHT, and Christian College. She is well known for her customized training modules, Train-the-Trainer programs, and multiple IELTS TTT certifications.
The masterclass covered key aspects of the IELTS exam, including the test format, strategies for each section (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking), time management, and common pitfalls. The session was highly engaging, filled with practical insights and interactive discussions.
Following the masterclass, students took part in a mock test that provided them with a real-time exam experience. Valuable feedback was shared to help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines, all eager to pursue higher education abroad.
