On 04 April 2025, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with StraeCon India LLP, Mangaluru. The MoU was formally signed by Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D'Souza, Director of SJEC, and Mr Akash Shetty, CSO of StraeCon India LLP.
The event was witnessed by Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal, SJEC, and Mr. Ram Prasad D. N., Head of Operations, StraeCon India LLP, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.
This collaboration aims to establish a dynamic framework for mutual growth through campus hiring, curriculum development, internships, training programs, joint workshops, and research. It also emphasizes the development of technology solutions in areas such as Design Automation Support, BIM Modelling, Structural Steel Connection Design, and Preconstruction Planning.
The MoU is expected to foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and skill development. The Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering at SJEC will jointly monitor and coordinate the collaborative activities.
