The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering has organized a technical seminar on "VLSI DESIGN: Current & Future Perspectives” for the second & third year ECE students on 20th February 2024 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm in Prerana Hall. There were 250 participants in the talk. Ms Sampada Pachaury, Director - IUCEE Foundation was the resource person.

The objective of the talk was to provide students with a deep understanding of the present state and potential future developments in VLSI design.

Ms Sampada Pachaury started the session by elaborating on her experience after working in the VLSI Industry and some of the technical aspects such as memory design, address decoding, chip design, etc...She enlightened the students with an overview of anticipated future trends in VLSI design and discussed emerging technologies, methodologies, and research directions that have the potential to shape the future of VLSI design. She suggested the students to equipped with strong fundamental knowledge and practical skills that can be applied in their work or research in VLSI design.

The technical seminar was a fruitful session for the individuals interested in VLSI design, they gained insights into both current industry practices and the potential future directions of this dynamic field.
