Work Experience

Assistant Professor—16th July 2012  to till date (13 Years, 3 Months)

Research Areas

My current research focuses on the design and simulation of photonic bandgap and Bloch Surface Wave –based optical sensors for cholesterol detection. The work involves developing one-dimensional photonic crystal structures using materials such as SiO₂ and Si₃N₄, optimizing layer thickness, defect parameters, and incidence conditions to achieve high sensitivity, selectivity, and figure of merit. The research aims to advance label-free, real-time biosensing techniques for biomedical and healthcare applications.
