MBA: Rendition-18

 

Rendition-18, A National Level Paper Presentation Contest and Productive Dialogue Competition was organized by the Department of Business Administration at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, on 4 th October 2018 on the theme, Strategies for Business Excellence.

 

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr P S Aithal, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University. In his inaugural address, Dr Aithal stressed on the quote which said, “Lucky people will get opportunities, Brilliant people will create opportunities and Winners will make use of the opportunities”. He also said that the Department of Business Administration, SJEC, has been successful in creating opportunities to students from various institutions to showcase their skills and increase their knowledge. Further, he encouraged the students to publish their research papers on national and inteational jouals.

 

Dr Rio D’Souza, emphasised the true meaning of the word ‘Rendition’ which meant creating or rendering something new and destroying or disrupting something which is already existing. He also said that, only when something is destroyed, it makes space for new ideas and innovation.

 

Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D'Souza, in his presidential remarks stressed that the paper presentation contest would provide fodder for the thought provoking process of knowledge and leaing. He wished the paper presenters success and hoped that they would enrich knowledge and be open to leaing. He congratulated the Department for hosting decennial Rendition programme.

 

Dr Prakash Pinto, Dean-MBA welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest.
Dr Shakila B, Faculty Co-ordinator Rendition-18 gave an overview of Rendition. Mr Rhyes Rego, II MBA, was the Master of Ceremony. Ms Naina Viola Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.

 

Rendition 18 concluded with the valedictory programme in the evening. Ms Noelin D’Souza, student of II MBA welcomed the guests and audience. Dr Rio D’Souza expressed the various perspectives of Rendition. The winners of Rendition-18 were announced by Ms Reena Sequeira from II MBA. The Chief Guest distributed the prizes to the winners.

 

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Pooja S, Student Coordinator of Rendition-18. Ms Lavanya Naik compeered the Valedictory Program. During the day over 42 papers in different streams were presented by the participants from various institutions in and around Mangaluru and 18 teams participated in the Productive Dialogue.
