MATLAB for PBL-VLSI Basics

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering organized a hands-on workshop on MATLAB for PBL- VLSI Basics on 12 August 2025. The session was facilitated by Mr Rakshith D S, Senior Application Engineer, Core-El Technologies, Bengaluru.

The primary objective of the workshop was to help students understand the fundamentals of VLSI circuits – CMOS circuits for Project-Based Learning (PBL).

• Mr Rakshith started the session with the introduction to Simulink and Simscape and demonstrated their applications for electronic circuits.
• He also focused on different digital logic circuits and introduced the CMOS inverter principles through the Simulink and Simscape models.

The workshop was highly interactive and practical in nature, enabling students to gain hands-on exposure to modern simulation tools.  A total of 62 students actively participated in the session. Dr Sheryl Grace Colaco & Mr Franco Menezes -– Dept of EEE coordinated the sessions.
