PRODIGI, the Students’ Association of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at SJEC, organized a technical talk on Collaborizm by the resource persons, Mr Claran Joel Martis and Mr John Baptist Rodrigues, both, alumnus of SJEC from the Class of 2016, on 8 th August 2017 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in Fr Fred Memorial Hall.
This talk was organised for 3 rd year ECE Students. Ms Beverly Jessica Dsouza, from 5 th semester, welcomed the gathering. Ms Chaitra from 5 th semester, introduced the speakers to the audience.
The objective of this programme is to encourage the students to use Collaborizm platform to update their knowledge and to implement their ideas into the project. Mr John Rodrigues spoke about benefits of Collaborizm platform and how it helped him to funds his project. The CoffeeBot, a Bot that was designed and developed by Mr John Baptist Rodrigues and featured in the New York Times, was presented. The Bot delivers coffee to people in the workplace or elsewhere.
The Principal – SJEC, Dr Joseph Gonsalvis appreciated the work done by Mr Claran Martis and Mr John Rodrigues. The Director – SJEC, Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza felicitated the speakers. Rev Fr Rohith D'Costa, Assistant Director-SJEC and Dr Rio D'Souza, Vice Principal – SJEC, were also present.
This session was well appreciated by all students. The event ended with vote of thanks by Ms Beverly Jessica Dsouza. Ms Prajwal D’Souza and Ms Deepthi S R coordinated the programme.
