The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted its annual Academic Project Exhibition under the Institutional banner of TECHNOVA-2017 on May 26, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Department premises. 34 teams exhibited their Projects and participated in the competition. Projects were from different streams, such as: VLSI, signal processing and embedded systems. The teams were divided into 3 batches. Each batch was evaluated by a panel consisting of exteal and inteal judges.
The exteal judges were

2. Mr Wilfred John Vaz, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE, SJEC
3. Ms Dayakshini, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE, SJEC
Top two teams and one innovative project from each panel were shortlisted for the second round.
In the second round the shortlisted teams were evaluated by the other two panels. From this evaluation process the following prizes were awarded:
I prize : XY Plotter by Akash K U, Deepesh S, Dharmith Hegde N, Keerthan guided by Ms Vijayalaxmi H M, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE, SJEC.
II Prize : Automated Patient Paralysis Health Care system by Deepa N Nayak, Edwig Colin Sequeira, Kanika, Rahul Lynel Dsouza guided by Ms Preetha D’Souza, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE, SJEC.
Innovative Project : IOT based embedded robot for safety and security applications by Nidhi P Raj, Pallavi G Shetty, Sushmitha, Wesley Rita Feandes guided by Ms Dayakshini, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE, SJEC.
