PRODIGI-ECE student association organized online event "Race for the place" on 17-10-2020 to give an idea to ongoing students about the procedures, ways and knowledge required during placements. This event was designed to provide insight and understanding regarding the key concepts during placements. The seminar had started at 11.00 am sharp by moderator Astrid Feandes who welcomed the attendees and speakers and then the event by led by keeping a pole question. She introduced our president of Prodigi association Hithesh. Prodigi president Hithesh presented an introductory speech to all attendees and also to all the speakers'. Later treasurer Katherine was introduced by moderator and she spoke about the list of events conducted last academic year. Secretary Carlton was introduced who shared the plans of events that would be conducted this year. There were total of 5 speakers who were passed out of year 2019-2020.

First session was presented by S Ananth Kamath. In short he presented about the key points required for a students during placements. He also shared his personal experience about his placement procedure and how he got selected in ITC InfoTech. His session provided the key points on how to face the placements. The next session was then presented by Zacche Joshua who is placed in Infosys and TCS. He provided us his personal experiences about the interview procedure. He just stressed the point saying that the patience was the key and hard work is all required for placements. The third session was led by Santan Edwin Feandes who also explained about the procedures and basic requirements for aptitude test, group discussion, interview procedure. He also shared his personal experience and how he got selected in ITC InfoTech. Later Sindhura led the session where she spoke about her interest in both core and IT companies. She explained how a student should pick core and IT on their ability. Also her experience on selection procedure for TCS. Last but not the least Sandesh A Mesta led the final session. He is placed in 2 companies and currently working for "Byjus"- the leaing App. Having experience of attending interviews of more than 20 companies, he stressed upon importance of preparation while attending placements. All the speakers explained importance of placements and how one should be prepared in order to get placed in a company. The session ended with vote thanks delivered by Vice President, Joel Mascarenhas from third year ECE.
