PRODIGI-ECE students' association organized a webinar titled as "Tips for Effective Report Writing Using MS Word" to the staff and students of ECE departments on 12 th June 2021. This event was focused on training the students on the basic technical report writing skills required to prepare project and seminar reports using MS word. The webinar was organised by Dr. Dayakshini, HOD-ECE. The webinar started at 2:30 pm by moderator Ms Jennifer C Salanha, welcoming the attendees and speaker.
The resource person Mr Keith Feandes started his session by presenting the VTU guidelines for UG project reports and by giving various tips to incorporate those guidelines in their document using various options available in MS word. He provided useful insights on how to prepare table of figures, text and figure alignment, customizing margins, page numbering, page breaks, inserting equations and figures. He also mentioned about different errors made by students while writing project reports and gave useful tips on how to avoid them. He demonstrated mendeley-referencing tool for citation of the references.
There was active interaction by the students during the webinar. The session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Vijayalaxmi H M. Around 220 students participated in the session. The feedback link was shared with the participants at the end of the session.
