On November 26, 2022, a community service event was organized for the students of Government High School, Moodmarnad, Moodbidri by SJEC faculty and students. The SJEC AICTE IDEA LAB participated in the programme, which was organised as an outreach initiative under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme. Fifteen prototypes built in the IDEA Lab were demonstrated to the school students. The outreach programme and Constitution Day celebration were both inaugurated together by lighting the Diya by the school principal, Assistant professor Mrs. Prathibha K.N, SJEC, Assistant professor Mr. Ajeeth B, SJEC, and student representative, Ms. Karunya K P. An introduction to the IDEA lab was given followed by the demonstration of the projects. Various other activities such as importance of constitution day, awareness on contributions of great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, cultural events etc. were conducted. At the conclusion, prizes were awarded to the four students who actively participated in the briefing of the IDEA Lab projects.
