St Joseph Engineering College - Mangaluru conducted PRIME-2023: An Accelerated Entrepreneurial Experience activity from the 7th of March 2023 to 12 April 2023, under the aegis of InnoVenture: SJEC Innovation Platform. The Demo Day of the activity was held on 12 April 2023 in the Kalam Auditorium of the Campus. Mr Prakash Kalbavi, Owner - Kalbavi Cashews attended the event as the Chief Guest.
PRIME-2023 was aimed at promoting the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the Campus. In this activity, the College provided a non-refundable seed capital of Rs. 500/- to the registered teams of students to identify and develop a product/service and sell it to realize a profit. The only requirement of PRIME-2023 was that the product/service developed has to be sold. The one-month long activity, witnessed the participation of 55 teams comprising 180 students from various disciplines of Engineering, MBA, and MCA. The teams were allowed to keep both the seed capital and the profits generated from the business.
