SJEC Athletic team participated in VTU Single Zone Inter-Collegiate Athletic Meet 2016 was held at Dr TTIT, Kolar from 15th to 18th November 2016.

- Mr Mohith Swaroop IV year Civil has secured First place in 110 mtr hurdles
- Ms Kripa Maria Sebastian IV year CS has secured First place in Hammer Throw
- Mr George Varghese IV year Mech has secured Third place in 100 mtr
- Mr Joyal Lesly Tauro IV year Civil has secured Third place in 400 mtr Hurdles
SJEC secured First place in 4x100 mtr Relay for men. The members of the teams are:

- SJEC Men team also secured Runners up Trophy in Men Overall Championship.
