SJEC Men Hockey team won the VTU Mangaluru Zone Hockey Touament held at NMAMIT, Nitte on 11 th April 2019 and is selected for VTU Inter Zonal Hockey Touament at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur on 21 st & 22 nd April 2019.
On the way to the title clash, SJEC won the quarter finals against Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil by 4 – 1 (Mr Nithin Kumar IV year Civil Engineering scored -2 goals, Mr Chiranjeevi H of I year E&E scored -1 goal & Mr Vivan D’Souza of IV year E&E scored -1 goal), semifinals against Sahyadri Institute of Technology and Management (SCEM), Adyar by 2-1 (Mr Nithin Kumar IV year Civil Engineering Scored -2 goals) and finals against NMAMIT, Nitte by 1-0 (Mr Avil Pinto IV year Mechanical Engineering scored -1 goal)
