At St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), preparing students for a successful career has always been a cornerstone of the institution's commitment to excellence. While this journey begins in the first semester itself, the Training and Placement (T&P) Cell’s flagship initiative, Udaan, serves as the final leap toward equipping students with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to excel in interviews.
Udaan is a meticulously designed, five-day intensive program that holistically prepares students for the challenges of the placement season. The initiative encompasses various crucial components such as technical refresher sessions, mock group discussions, resume reviews, personal feedback, and professional etiquette training. The program culminates in a mock interview session, a highlight of Udaan, where industry leaders, including technical experts and HR professionals, conduct one-on-one interviews with students. Each interview lasts between 10 to 15 minutes and is followed by personalized feedback from these seasoned professionals. This interaction provides students with invaluable insights into their strengths and areas of improvement, instilling confidence and readiness to face real-world placement interviews.
Between July and September, Udaan was successfully conducted across multiple departments, including Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Intelligent Computing and Business Systems, Business Administration, and Computer Applications. The program's comprehensive and structured approach ensures that SJEC graduates are well-prepared, not only technically but also in their soft skills, to make a seamless transition from campus to the corporate world. Udaan exemplifies SJEC’s dedication to shaping industry-ready professionals.
