Description of the Activity:
The AICUF Karnataka State Council Election, Investiture & Leadership Training 2026 was held on 25th and 26th July 2026 at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. The two-day programme brought together AICUF student representatives, office bearers, staff animators, and delegates from various colleges across Karnataka for leadership formation, democratic participation, and fellowship.
The programme began with a prayer service, followed by the inaugural session, welcoming the delegates and introducing the objectives of the programme. Throughout the two days, participants attended leadership formation sessions, motivational talks, interactive discussions, group activities, and team-building exercises. These sessions focused on developing leadership qualities, effective communication, teamwork, responsibility, and a spirit of service while deepening the participants' understanding of the vision and mission of AICUF.
The programme also provided an opportunity for delegates from different colleges to interact, exchange ideas, share experiences, and build stronger relationships within the AICUF family. These interactions encouraged students to work together for the welfare of society and inspired them to become responsible leaders committed to justice, equality, and social transformation. The AICUF SJEC Unit was represented by Ajay Preenal D'Souza (President), Senona Jenisha Pereira (Vice President & Treasurer), Vinisha Dias (Secretary), and Danica Pereira (Core Committee Member). The delegation actively participated in all the leadership sessions, discussions, group activities, election proceedings, and other programmes conducted during the event.
One of the major highlights of the programme was the AICUF Karnataka State Council Election 2026, which was conducted through a fair, transparent, and democratic process. Delegates exercised their voting rights, following which the newly elected State Council members took the oath of office during the Investiture Ceremony, committing themselves to serve the student community with dedication and integrity.
On the evening of 25th July 2026, the AICUF State Council Cultural Night was organised to celebrate the cultural diversity and talents of students from across Karnataka. Representing St. Joseph Engineering College, Crystal Vas and Prathishta S were selected as the Masters of Ceremony (MCs) for the Cultural Night. They confidently and gracefully hosted the programme, ensuring its smooth conduct and making the event lively and memorable. The programme was further enriched by the presence of the KJES Animators to SJEC, who accompanied the delegation, encouraged the participants, and actively supported the programme throughout the two days.
A proud moment for the SJEC delegation came during the announcement of the election results. Vinisha Dias was elected as the Ecology Commission Head, and Senona Jenisha Pereira was elected as the Tribal Commission Head of the AICUF Karnataka State Council for the term 2026–27. Their election brought great honour to St. Joseph Engineering College and reflected the commitment, leadership, and active involvement of the SJEC AICUF Unit in strengthening the mission and vision of AICUF. Heartiest congratulations to Vinisha Dias on being elected as the Ecology Commission Head and Senona Jenisha Pereira on being elected as the Tribal Commission Head of the AICUF Karnataka State Council 2026–27. May God bless them with wisdom, strength, humility, and compassion as they undertake these responsibilities. May their leadership inspire meaningful initiatives, promote justice and service, and contribute significantly to the growth of AICUF across Karnataka.
