The Department of Civil Engineering of St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru organized an Industrial visit to Asphalt Hot Mix Plant, Punjalkatte and Mugrody Asphalt Drum Mix Plant and Concrete Weigh batch for B.E Civil engineering students of 7th Sem as part of their curriculum on 30th October 2021 to study different aspects of hot mix plant, accompanied by three faculty members Ms. Vishikha Keshava, Mr. Prashanth Kurdekar and Ms. Reena James Rodrigues
The visit aimed at enhancing the knowledge and visualization of pavement construction materials and various tests conducted on them.
The plant is operational for 24 hrs. to meet the construction activities which includes construction of roads, civil works etc. at different places in and around Mangalore and neighboring districts and corporations which are accomplished successfully.
