The Department of Civil Engineering organised an industrial visit to Skyline Signature, Nanthoor, Marian Park, Kadri Lotus Paradise near Karangalpady on 24th September 2019 for third year students. A total of 64 students participated in the visit. Mr Chitharanjan M, Ms Bhavya and Mr Manjunath B accompanied the students during the visit.

The visit was aimed at enhancing the knowledge in RCC construction. Skyline Signature is the proposed tallest structure in south India of 53 floors, Project Manager Er. Kaushik Rao briefed about the speciality of the technologies used in present structure and also given insight knowledge about aluminium scaffolding, self-compacting concrete. In the second site, the project engineer of Marian Park, Er. Anirudh explained how particular building differs from other projects and given enhanced knowledge on flat slab construction and its advantages, students also visited mock floor and visualized the finishing stage of construction. In Lotus Paradise of Kadri Er. Sanath explained about the importance of touch pile construction in case of deep excavations, students also visited the construction place, and studies reinforcement details of the footing and retaining wall.
