The program was inaugurated by our esteemed HOD, Dr. B Radheshyam, Er. Bharath J., Er. Ujwal D’Souza and Mr. Vijeth Kumar, President of NIRMAN Association, Department of Civil Engineering, SJEC Mangaluru. The program was attended by the students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Civil Engineering and organized by the Faculty Coordinator of NIRMAN, Mr. Chitharanjan M., Dept of Civil Engineering.
Er. Bharath J. commenced the talk with his presentation on Rainwater Harvesting. Sir discussed about the various methods of rainwater harvesting, the applications of the process and the benefits of it. He stressed on the importance of conserving existing water resources and making efficient use of rainwater. Sir also discussed about various unique projects implemented in the field of rainwater harvesting.
Er. Ujwal D’Souza continued the talk with his presentation on Construction Equipment. Sir emphasized on the importance of various construction equipment commonly used in construction and way more advanced equipment, which is, used in advanced construction methods. Sir discussed in detail the functions of construction equipment and provided real life examples with pictures of the construction sites in mention.
Both the talks provided a broader understanding of the topics to all the students and were very informative and interactive. The program ended with a group photo of all the resource personnel and Department staff members present.
