CSE: Tiara 2019 Report On Bazzinga

The event started with a total of 15 teams at 11:30 am in class 3503. The first round was “Tech Buzz” which was divided into 2 parts. Part 1 was a quiz round based on general knowledge, latest movies, series, riddles, etc. Part 2 was based on logos and famous personalities. All the questions were displayed on the screen for a minute. The students had to write down the answers on the given sheet of paper. The students were asked to wait for a while till the papers were corrected. At the end, the questions were displayed once again. A total of 5 teams got disqualified in this round.

Second round began at 12:15 am. In this round, “Oh My Bug”, teams were asked to go around the campus, find some significant spot and take snaps of themselves with a creative pose. They had to then send the pictures to one of the coordinators. There only given 30 minutes. All the students assembled back in the classroom at 12:45 am. Five teams were selected on the basis of the most creative pose and good photography.

Third round, Code Warriors, started at 2:00 pm. Here, one of the teammate was taken to a lab and was required to code a small and simple program using either C, Python or Java language. 2 sets of question papers were prepared. The other teammate was asked to take a chit which guided them where to go. No mobile phones were allowed. One volunteer was present at each of the spot to ensure nobody used their phones. Once the team member in lab executed the code correctly, he was given a riddle to hint him where his other teammate was. They were supposed to find their teammates and come back to 3503 classroom.

Everyone took part in the event enthusiastically and the volunteers and faculty members helped in the smooth coordination of the event.

The first winners were Nasil Saniah and Shravan Baliga from St Joseph Engineering college. They won a total of Rs 1500.

The second winners were Oliva Sharol Correa and S B Shubha from St Joseph Engineering college. They won a total of Rs 1000.

Ms Gayana from the department of Computer Science was called for the prize distribution ceremony.
