MECH X MED & Mechquest 2026

The program MECH X Med & Mechquest 2026, organized by the Torque Students’ Association under the Department of Mechanical Engineering, St Joseph Engineering College, was successfully conducted on 8 April 2026 at Prerana Hall. The event was graced by Dr Sana Aboobaker, Surgeon from the ENT Department of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, as the Chief Guest, whose keynote address highlighted the crucial role of mechanical engineering in advancing medical science. Under the guidance of Dr Ravikantha Prabhu (Head of Department) and Lt. Yathish Kumar (Torque Association Coordinator), and coordinated by Dr Rolvin D’Silva and Mr. Joel D’Mello, the event created a platform for interdisciplinary learning and innovation. Insightful sessions were delivered by guest speakers from Team Blades and Beyond—Hrishab Hegde, Lamiyah Mariyam, Ayesha Rida, and Somya Saxena—along with contributions from Torque speakers Nawal Hameed, Rahul Yash, Tiya, and Sancia. The event also featured Mechquest 2026, a technical competition that encouraged problem-solving, innovation, and active participation among students. The successful execution of the program was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the Torque Students’ Association team, including Ajith Rao, Vaibhavi, Shashank, Nidhish B, Muhammed Swafeer, Rakshith Naik, and Media Lead TA Mahammed Abrar, along with the support of faculty, staff, and department secretaries Ms. Renita and Mr. Daniel.
