Assistant Professor
Teaching is my passion; I want to undertake this passion with love and imagination to engage and inspire my students.
Chemistry is a subject that I have studied, practiced, taught and enjoyed over the last 16 years.
Effective teaching involves time, dedication, patience, understanding, firmness, and a sense of humor. I use discussion sessions for my students, to build student confidence, improve oral communication skills, and instill a "class spirit" towards learning the course material. I see that I prepare myself to answer questions and keep the material interesting for the students.
In the laboratory session, I place strong emphasis on developing writing skills and engaging in substantive discussions. I also provide several opportunities for oral presentations. My subject focuses on the use of various colored reagents, and I leverage the concept of color chemistry to capture the attention of my students.
