On 13th September 2025, the final year students of the department visited Petrocon Engineers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. as part of their industrial exposure program. They were accompanied by Mr. Ajeeth and Dr. Prakash K.G., who guided the students throughout the visit.
The program was organized into two interactive sessions conducted by the company’s resource persons. The first session provided an overview of the company’s operations, followed by an informative presentation on steel structures, their various use cases, advantages, and relevance in modern engineering applications.
The second session focused on Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Students were introduced to its features, practical applications in construction and design, and the significant advantages it offers in improving project efficiency and coordination. The session concluded with a briefing on the internship opportunities available at Petrocon, encouraging students to gain hands-on industry experience.
This visit served as a valuable learning experience, bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world industry practices.
