Mock Interview Session Organized by the Department of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering, SJEC, in association with the Placement and Training Cell under the initiative UDAAN, organized a Mock Interview Session on 20th August 2025 at the Placement Cell from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The event was coordinated by Placement Coordinators, Mr. Sachin U and Ms. Sinchana K. The session aimed to provide final-year students with real-time interview exposure and enhance their preparedness for upcoming placement opportunities.

The panel comprised Mr. Akash Shetty, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, STRAECON, and Mr. Sathyendra Bhat, Head – Placement, SJEC. Students participated enthusiastically in the interviews, which evaluated their technical knowledge, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and overall confidence. The panellists also shared valuable suggestions on resume building, interview etiquette, and strategies to handle pressure during recruitment processes.

The event proved to be highly beneficial in boosting students’ confidence and equipping them with insights into industry expectations. The Department expresses its sincere gratitude to the panellists for their valuable guidance and to the Placement and Training Cell for their support. Overall, the Mock Interview was a successful initiative that significantly contributed to enhancing students’ readiness for placements.
