The Department of Civil Engineering in association with ISTE – SJEC Student Chapter and Research Group organised a Two days workshop on AI TOOLS FOR ENGINEERS open to all faculty and research scholars on 5th and 6th of September 2024. The resource person was Dr, Pijush Samui, Professor and Dean Planning & Development, NIT Patna, Bihar. Twenty five participants registered for the workshop including three external registrants. The program was coordinated by Mr. Govinda Krishna and Dr. Prakash K G , assistant professors of Civil Department. The inaugural was held in WEB LAB of CSE Department and the continued sessions too.
The main focus of the workshop was hands on training on certain AI tools such as MATLAB by Prof Pijush. Prof. Ritaparna an independent researcher too delivered training session on R Studio and Python with the help of certain examples. The workshop was ended with the valedictory program. Prof. Ramananda, Dean, Student Welfare was the chief guest of the function. In overall the programme was appreciated by the participants and also by the resource person himself in his concluding remarks about the institution.
