The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the IEEE SJEC Student Branch and IEEE SJEC GRSS Chapter, organized a Collage Making Competition during the month of November on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. The event aimed to celebrate the demographic and cultural variety of India, promote creativity and awareness about the nation’s unity in diversity, and encourage students to artistically express India’s rich traditions and heritage. Conducted under the DEIAB activities of IEEE, the competition received a funding support of $1000 and was open to all students of SJEC, attracting participation from 18 teams across various departments.
The entries were evaluated by an expert panel consisting of Dr. Anjali Ganesh, Professor, MBA, Dr. Vincent Crasta, Professor in the Department of Physics, and Dr. Ashwin Shetty, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Based on their evaluation, the first prize was awarded to Sakshi Shetty (I Year CSE), Bhakthi (I Year ECE), and Srajana (I Year ME); the second prize was secured by A V Lavanya, Dhanyashree, and Josviea P V from III Year ECE; and the third prize was won by Anisha Rodrigues and Vinisha Dias from II Year AIML, along with Deleesha D’Souza from II Year CSE.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents while celebrating the cultural essence of Kannada Rajyotsava.
