The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with Prodigi – The Student Association, organized a Peer Learning Session titled “Exploring MOSFETs: From Basics to Inverter Implementation” on 18 October 2025 at Fr Fred Hall, St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru. The session was conducted in offline mode for V semester ECE students, with a total of 90 participants. The resource persons for the session were final-year ECE students Mr. Adithya Shenoy, Ms. Ranjitha Shetty, Mr. Lohith K. S., Mr. Vishwas Karanth, and Mr. Nihaal Y. K., under the guidance of Mr. Florence Nishmitha and Ms. Vinitha Pasanha, the Prodigi Association Faculty Coordinators. The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Dayakshini, Head of the Department of ECE, with Mr. Adithya D.
K. serving as the Student Coordinator, while Ms. Pranamya S.,Vice President of Prodigi, hosted the session. The objective of the session was to help students understand the fundamentals of MOSFET operation through the design and simulation of inverter circuits. The resource persons explained the characteristics of MOSFETs, their fundamental concepts, and practical applications in electronic circuits. Students were introduced to CMOS inverter design, switching characteristics, and noise margin analysis. Demonstrations were conducted using the LTspice simulation tool, enabling participants to design, simulate, and analyze electronic circuits and observe the corresponding waveforms. Through this activity, students
gained practical exposure to inverter circuit design and developed a better understanding of circuit behavior and performance. The session also promoted peer learning, teamwork, and active participation, thereby enhancing the technical skills of the students.
