The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the IEEE SJEC Student Branch and IEEE SJEC GRSS Chapter, organized TechQuest - An Interdisciplinary Aptitude and Technical Challenge on 3 September 2026. A total of 23 teams registered and participated. The event was conducted for third-year and final-year students from all branches and was aimed at assessing their aptitude, technical knowledge, teamwork, quick thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
The event was conducted in three rounds. The first round, the Aptitude Round, consisted of questions covering logical reasoning, analytical thinking, quantitative aptitude, and general awareness. All 23 teams participated in the round, out of which 14 teams qualified for the second round. The second round, the Technical Round, included questions from general engineering and technology, along with topics related to remote sensing and its applications. This round tested the participants’ understanding and application of technical concepts, with 7 teams qualifying for the final round.
The final round was conducted as an exciting buzzer round, where questions were displayed on the screen and teams competed to answer them as quickly as possible. The round tested quick thinking, presence of mind, and technical awareness.
The event provided participants with an engaging platform to apply their knowledge beyond the classroom while encouraging teamwork, quick decision-making, and awareness of emerging technologies. The event concluded successfully with the announcement of the winners.
