Exploring Testing Tool in Industry

The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with Techno Crats and the Alumni Association, successfully conducted a hands-on workshop titled “Exploring Testing Tools in Industry” on 12th July 2025. The workshop aimed to familiarize II-semester MCA students with various software testing tools and industry practices.

The session commenced at 9:30 AM with a warm welcome delivered by Ms. Nishmitha, MC for the event. She extended greetings to the resource person and all the participating students. Ms. Nishmitha also gave a brief introduction of the resource person, Ms. Rashmi, before handing over the mic to her.

Ms. Rashmi began the workshop by sharing her industry experience, providing students with valuable insights into the practical aspects of software testing. She covered the following key topics during her session: The workshop covered the basics of software testing, introducing fundamental concepts, Different types of testing were explained to help students understand various testing approaches. The resource person demonstrated how to write effective test cases. An overview of functional and non-functional testing was provided. Popular testing tools like Selenium and PostMAN were introduced and explored. Recommended certification courses, including the AZ-900 certification, were suggested to students for further learning and career advancement. Throughout the session, Ms. Rashmi emphasized the relevance of these tools and certifications for building a successful career in the software testing industry.
