The Department of Civil Engineering organized a one day industrial visit to Water Treatment Plant and Intake structure at tumbe and Sewage Treatment Plant, Kavoor, Mangaluru on 12th October 2018 for VII Semester students. Three faculty members Mr. Prashant Kurdekar, Ms. Bhavya and Mr. Ajeeth accompanied a group of 58 students. The main objective of the visit was to make students exposed to the onsite water treatment process, intake structures like jack well and pumping station and make them aware about how various wastewater treatment processes are carried out in the municipal treatment plant.
