Gender violence, is the term used to denote harm inflicted upon individuals and groups that is connected to normative understandings of their gender. Some national studies show that up to 70 percent of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. In order to bring awareness on gender-based violence and to say “NO” to gender violence, Jagruthi Cell of St Joseph Engineering College had organized a session on Campaigning against gender-based violence on December 3, 2018 at the entrance of Academic Block 3, SJEC. This Campaign was the part of Inteational Campaign of UN against gender-based violence. Many staff and students of SJEC had participated in the event and showed their support for the campaign.
