Genesis Inauguration and AAGAMAN- Freshers Day- MBA Batch 2025-27

The Department of Business Administration, St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, organised the Inauguration of GENESIS, the official student forum of the department, followed by AAGAMAN – Freshers’ Day for the MBA Batch 2025–27 on 11 November 2025 at 9:15 AM in Kalam Auditorium. The event aimed to introduce the newly inducted students to the department’s academic, professional and forum-based initiatives while formally welcoming them to the MBA programme. The ceremony was graced by Dr Purushothama Chippar, Professor, Vice Principal and Dean–R&D, as the Chief Guest, and presided over by Dr Prakash Pinto, Professor and Dean, Department of Business Administration.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms Vaishnavi Shetty, followed by the formal inauguration of GENESIS. The department presented its forum wings led by the respective faculty coordinators: Mr Nelson Marwin Fernandes (Finnovate – Finance Forum and Genesis Faculty Coordinator), Ms Prajwala Preema Rodrigues (EmpowerNet – HR Forum and Festrum – Fest Forum), and Mr Cherian Xavier (MarketSense – Marketing Forum). The student coordinators of Genesis, Mr Rahul Puthran and Ms Vaishnavi Shetty, were also introduced. All the student heads of the 4 forums were also introduced. The programme proceedings were conducted by Ms Rhea Monalisa.

In his address, the Chief Guest encouraged students to actively engage in departmental initiatives and make meaningful use of the opportunities provided. The President of the programme, Dr Prakash Pinto, emphasised the department’s commitment to academic excellence, experiential learning and holistic development. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr Rahul Puthran.

After the inauguration, the department celebrated AAGAMAN – Freshers’ Day, marking the official welcome of the MBA Batch 2025–27. The celebration featured cultural and entertainment performances by the students, adding vibrancy and enthusiasm to the event.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mr Nelson Marwin Fernandes, Ms Prajwala Preema Rodrigues, and Mr Cherian Xavier, and under the leadership of Dr Prakash Pinto, Professor and Dean–MBA.
