As a part of the academic curriculum-Corporate Etiquette & Personality Development-I (MPD107) Department of Business Administration, St. Joseph Engineering College organized an industrial visit for I MBA Batch B students to Deccan Plast, Mudipu, on 29 January 2026 and for I MBA Batch A students to BrightFlexi International Pvt. Ltd., Padubidri, on 03rd February 2026.

A total of 58 students accompanied by faculty members Dr Shakila B & Ms Acharya Chitralekha J, visited the factory on 29 January 2026. The objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to manufacturing processes and business operations in the plastics industry, thereby enhancing students’ understanding of concepts related to production management, supply chain, and quality control.
The students were welcomed by the management and briefed on the company’s history, operations, and growth. A guided tour of the manufacturing unit enabled students to observe various stages of plastic production, including raw material processing, molding, and finishing. The technical team highlighted quality control measures, sustainable practices, and efficient production techniques. Students also interacted with the officials and clarified their queries regarding industry challenges and business strategies.
The visit offered valuable industry exposure and helped students relate theoretical concepts to practical applications. The students found the visit informative and enriching. Overall, the industrial visit was a successful initiative that contributed to experiential learning and enhanced industry–academia interaction.
BrightFlexi International Pvt. Ltd.
BrightFlexi International Pvt. Ltd. is a well-established organization specializing in flexible packaging solutions, particularly in the manufacturing of cement bags. Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by company representatives, who introduced the organization’s history, mission, market presence, and commitment to quality and innovation. The session highlighted how the company maintains a competitive edge through advanced machinery, stringent quality standards, and efficient workflow systems.
The students were then taken on a guided tour of the production facility, where they observed various stages of the manufacturing process, including raw material handling, printing, lamination, cutting, sealing, and packaging. Emphasis was placed on quality assurance procedures, inventory management, and supply chain coordination. Students gained practical insights into production planning, quality control, and demand forecasting. An interactive session with the AGM – HR was conducted, during which students discussed career opportunities, essential managerial skills, industry challenges, and sustainability practices.
The industrial visit proved to be an enriching learning experience, enhancing students’ understanding of operational strategies, human resource coordination, and managerial decision-making. The visit concluded successfully, and the students returned to the campus at 1:50 p.m. The visit was accompanied by Dr.Babitha Rohit, Associate Professor, and Mr. Cherian Xavier, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration.
